ProSTART Electrolyte Powder

PROSTART® ELECTROLYTE is an isotonic supplement for calves, lambs, kids, crias (alpaca), foals, and other production livestock.

When mixed and fed as directed, PROSTART® ELECTROLYTE rapidly hydrates all animals and is especially beneficial for animals under stress.

To be fed as a supplement in between whole milk or milk replacer feeds. If the animal displays weak reflexes or refuses to drink, seek immediate veterinary advice.

All solutions must be consumed within 24 hours of mixing.

Mixing Rate

To prepare your PROSTART® ELECTROLYTE isotonic solution, mix 1 part powder to 33 parts drinking water. Dissolve 60 g into 2 L of clean warm water (40°C) or 600 g per 20 L or 6 kg per 200 L.

1 heaped measuring cup approximates to 60 g of powder.

Calves & Foals

Offer 2 L of PROSTART® ELECTROLYTE isotonic solution per head, 2–3 times per day, for 2–3 days or until hydration is normal.

Lambs, Kids & Crias (Alpaca)

Offer 100 mL–200 mL of PROSTART® ELECTROLYTE isotonic solution per head up to 6 times per day for 2–3 days or until hydration is normal.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, and protected from air exposure and moisture.
Keep the container sealed at all times. Reseal immediately after dispensing.

This product will absorb moisture from exposed air (if left unsealed), which may cause crusting on the surface or hardening of the powder. If this occurs, break up the powder and measure the required amount per the mixing instructions.

Crusting or hardening of the powder does not affect product effectiveness.
