VetreLYTE ZB Energy and Electrolyte Additive for Infant Animals

VetreLYTE-ZB Powder is a balanced energy and electrolyte additive for calves, lambs, kids, crias (alpaca) and foals.
Does not contain bicarbonate. When mixed as directed, replaces lost electrolytes and fluids in young animals.

• Provides dextrose and glycine as energy sources
• Contains salts to replace lost electrolytes in deficient animals
• Zero bicarbonate formulation – contains acetate which does not interfere with milk clotting
• Includes vitamins which have a diverse role in metabolic functions

Sugars Min. 580g/kg, Alkalising Salts Min. 140g/kg, Sodium Chloride Min. 80g/kg,
Potassium, Glycine, Functional Fibre, with Vitamins A, D, E, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, K & Biotin.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Precautions: It is essential that animals have access to free-choice fresh water at all times, even when feeding energy/electrolyte solutions.
Mixed solutions should only be used for young calves, lambs, kids, crias (alpaca) and foals that can stand and suckle.
To be fed as a supplement between normal milk/milk-replacer feeds.

ADMINISTRATION:
Mixing Rates – follow veterinary instructions:

Isotonic Solution – dissolve 60g (1 heaped measuring cup) of powder in 2L of warm water (40°C).
Hypertonic Solution – dissolve 80g (1.5 measuring cups) of powder in 2L of warm water (40°C).

NOTE: As a supportive measure during times of disease, stress, ill-thrift and gastric upset it is recommended to add FortiMILK® GREEN to all electrolyte feeds.

CALVES & FOALS:
Feed 2 litres of VetreLYTE-ZB solution, 2 to 3 times per day between milk feeding for 1–2 days or until hydration is normal or follow veterinary advice.

LAMBS, KIDS & CRIAS (ALPACA):
Lambs, kids and crias require smaller dose volumes (100 – 200mL) more frequently (up to 6 times per day) for 2 to 3 days or until hydration is normal or follow veterinary advice.
