ProviCo ENHANCE

Whole milk typically has 20% more fat than protein. Research shows that pre-weaned calves grow more efficiently when their liquid diet contains a higher percentage of Protein than Fat. Studies have shown calves fed whole milk with enhanced protein levels also gain more weight from birth to weaning, have better hip height, better body length and heart girth. In addition, research also suggests that feeding higher protein diets pre-weaning enhances the growth of pre-pubertal mammary tissue, which in turn leads to significantly more milk-producing mammary tissue post-puberty.

ProviCo ENHANCE is specifically formulated to enrich whole or surplus milk to better balance the Protein to Fat ratio.

ProviCo ENHANCE can also be used to extend the amount of surplus milk available, and capture the quality fat in surplus milk.

Add 200g of ProviCo ENHANCE to 1 litre of whole milk (or pasteurised milk) warmed to 45°C) and mix thoroughly to create 2 litres of calf milk.

Feed as many litres per day as required of this mixture, up to 7 litres/day (Holsteins), or 6 litres/day (Jerseys), ideally over 2 or more feeds at least 8 hours apart.

Add up to 45 grams (as desired) to whole milk (or pasteurised surplus milk) to raise the solids content.

It is recommended that either FortiMILK GOLD or FortiMILK Green be added to the final mixture for mineral and probiotic fortification or medication with Bovatec.

It is recommended that all milk (either CMR or whole milk) be fed at 38-40°C. ALWAYS feed Colostrum to newborn animals as soon as possible after birth before moving to whole milk or CMR.
