BOVELYTE Oral Electrolyte Supplement Powder

BOVELYTE is a supportive oral electrolyte solution to replace electrolytes, aid in the reversal of dehydration and supplement both energy and vitamin needs in calves, kids, lambs and crias.

• High Bicarbonate Alkalising formulation to address base deficits associated with scouring calves.
• Contains vitamins as a pick-me-up for ill calves.

Sugars Min. 700 g/kg, Alkalising Salts (Bicarbonate/Citrate) Min. 160 g/kg, Sodium Chloride Min. 60 g/kg, Potassium, Functional Fibre, Vitamins: A, D, E, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, K & Biotin.

CALVES:

For mild scours: Feed 0.5 – 1L/10kg bodyweight of BOVELYTE solution 2 to 3 times per day between milk feeding for 36 hours.

For severe scours: Feed 1L/10kg bodyweight of BOVELYTE solution 2 to 4 times per day between milk feeding for 36 hours.

For transported calves: Feed 2L of BOVELYTE solution after arrival (as an induction).

To aid in the prevention of dehydration: Feed 2L of BOVELYTE solution between milk feeds, up to 2 to 3 times daily. For best results feed VetreLYTE-ZB.

LAMBS, KIDS & CRIAS (ALPACA):

Lambds, kids and crias require smaller dose volumes (100 – 200mL) or more frequently (up to 6 times per day) for 2 to 3 days or until hydration is normal or follow veterinary advice.

Contains citrate and bicarbonate that may interfere with the digestion of casein and therefore should not be mixed with milk.

Milk should continue to be the major energy source but feeding should be seperated from administration of BOVELYTE solutions by at least 2 hours.

It is essential that animals have access to free-choice fresh water at all times, even when feeding energy/electrolyte solutions.

Mixed solutions should only be used for young animals that can stand and suckle.

If scours persis after 36 hours or if the animal displays weak reflexes or refuses to drink, seek immediate veterinary adivce.

Use all product within 24 hours of mixing.
